Nvestigation of a Boundary Layer Problem for Perturbed Cauchy-Riemann Equation with Non-local Boundary Condition

Boundary layer problems (Singular perturbation problems) more have been applied for ordinary differential equations. While this theory for partial differential equations have many applications in several fields of physics and engineering. Because of complexity of limit and boundary behavior of the solutions of partial differential equations these problems considered less than ordinary case. In ...

MIXED BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEM FOR A QUARTER-PLANE WITH A ROBIN CONDITION

We consider a mixed boundary value problem for a quarter-plane with a Robin condition on one edge. We have developed two procedures, one based on the advanced theory of dual integral equations and the other, in our opinion simpler technique, relying on conformal mapping. Both of the procedures are of interest, because the former may be easier to adapt to other boundary value problems.

A Parabolic Almost Monotonicity Formula

We prove the parabolic counterpart of the almost monotonicity formula of Caffarelli, Jerison and Kening for pairs of functions u±(x, s) in the strip S1 = Rn × (−1, 0] satisfying u± ≥ 0, (∆− ∂s)u± ≥ −1, u+ · u− = 0 in S1. We also establish a localized version of the formula as well as prove one of its variants. At the end of the paper we give an application to a free boundary problem related to ...

Trigonometric series with a generalized monotonicity condition

Abstract In this paper, we consider numerical and trigonometric series with a very general monotonicity condition. First, a fundamental decomposition is established from which the sufficient parts of many classical results in Fourier analysis can be derived in this general setting. In the second part of the paper a necessary and sufficient condition for the uniform convergence of sine series is...
